Prince Okezie Uzondu is a dedicated healthcare professional with over seven years of experience in medical laboratory science, diagnostics, and public health systems. He holds a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science and is currently pursuing a Master’s in the same field.
In his current role as Healthcare Waste Management Officer at AVO Health Limited, Prince ensures the safe segregation, treatment, and disposal of healthcare waste in line with national and international standards. He leads training for healthcare workers, monitors compliance, and drives initiatives that safeguard both public health and the environment.
Prince has also served as a National Integrated Sample Referral Network (NISRN) Coordinator, where he enhanced sample referral systems for priority diseases including TB, HIV, and COVID-19. His expertise spans haematology, microbiology, chemical pathology, and molecular diagnostics, supported by strong proficiency in laboratory information systems and biosafety protocols.
