Iji Egbodo, FCA, CFE, MBA, is the Chief Executive Officer of AVO Health Limited, where he provides strategic leadership and overall direction for the organization’s mission to deliver innovative, evidence-based, and client-responsive solutions that improve health outcomes across Nigeria and beyond.
With more than 18 years of experience in international development and public health finance, Iji has partnered extensively with governments, multilateral organizations, and global donors. He brings deep expertise in financial management, risk oversight, and program sustainability. Prior to joining AVO Health, he served as a Financial Analyst at USAID/Nigeria, where he played a critical role in safeguarding program continuity, optimizing resource allocation, and strengthening accountability in donor-funded initiatives.
At AVO Health, Iji drives the organization’s strategy, partnerships, and operations, ensuring all projects are delivered with the highest standards of technical excellence and integrity. He champions innovation in health system strengthening—ranging from digital health solutions and workforce planning to policy reform—while advancing localization and accountability as central pillars of AVO’s work.
