Ahunzo Sylvanus is the Program Officer at AVO Health Limited, where he leads program
management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting for public health programs across
Nigeria. With nearly a decade of progressive experience in public health, laboratory services,
and humanitarian response, he brings a strong multidisciplinary approach to implementing
impactful health interventions.
He has previously served in strategic roles across several organizations, including as State
Team Lead for Akesis Health Nigeria, Center for Clinical Care and Clinical Research, TB
Facility Lead at KNCV Nigeria, FHI 360, UNICEF, and IOM. His diverse background includes
extensive work in HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, logistics for healthcare commodities, and
emergency response programs in both governmental and non-governmental settings.
Sylvanus holds a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Maiduguri
and a Master of Science in Public Health from the National Open University of Nigeria. He is
currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Ahmadu Bello University.
He also holds professional certifications from the University of Washington in Leadership and
Management in Health, Project Management in Global Health, and Monitoring and Evaluation
in Global Health.
Ahunzo is passionate about strengthening health systems through data-driven decision-making,
integrated service delivery, and sustainable public health solutions.
